Welcome to our website!

The Museum opening times

Wonderful news!

We are planning a trial reopening of the museum on Sundays 2-5pm starting from 25th July.

The museum will be limited to 12 visitors at any one time.  We will be serving tea & cake but with outside seating only which is restricted to 24 people. This may result in having to wait for a table to become vacant. Please be patient.  Alternatively cake will be available to ‘Take away’.   It will be good to catch up with people after so long, but if the museum is busy please limit the length of your visit to allow others a chance to come in.

Of course, we hope to get back to a point where we can resume our usual opening times, which are:

Village PostmanEaster Sunday to August Bank Holiday – Sundays, Wednesdays and Bank Holidays – 2-5pm

August Bank Holiday to Christmas – Sundays only – 2-5pm

Between Christmas and Easter the museum is closed

Extra opening hours are available for group bookings of 10 or more people.  Please contact us if you would like a group visit.

The tea room

When planning your visit don’t forget we have a lovely tea room with a fresh pots of tea and a wonderful selection of homemade cakes baked by our fantastic tearoom volunteers, just waiting for you. Do plan time to take afternoon tea with us and chat about what you’ve seen.

The Museum is a charity, set up and run by local people. We have no paid staff and rely on the generous support of our visitors, volunteers and donors.
